This is the location of the
Kimball
Fireworks Festival held in September. The Town
of Kimball will not be having the Kimball Fireworks
Festival this year (2008). The Board of Mayor and
Aldermen voted during a regular monthly board meeting
to use the funds for the festival toward the progress
on the Kimball Park to work on adding some amenities
that were discussed during the Strategic Workshop
held on February 21, 2008.
Currently on the property, there
have been two lakes constructed and the other area
is still under construction. Phase I of development
will include three soccer fields, four baseball/softball
fields and concessions with restrooms.
Future plans for the area will
be done in phases and plans currently consist of performance
stage, tennis courts, walking trail, picnic tables,
pavilion, and playground area.
