OF MAYOR & ALDERMEN
Kimball is governed by a Board of Mayor and Aldermen.
Each member is elected to a four-year term. Currently,
all board member positions are part-time. The Town of
Kimball Board of Mayor and Aldermen meet in the town
meeting room on the first Thursday of each month at
6:00 p.m. unless otherwise advertised.

Bylaws 
The planning commission is appointed
by the Kimball Board of Mayor and Aldermen and consists
of a total of seven (7) members; two (2) members of
the Board of Mayor and Aldermen; the other five (5)
members are citizens within the town. The board consists
of the follow members:

The planning commission normally
meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m.
The planning commission reviews site plans and subdivision
plats.

Board of Zoning Appeals
The
zoning appeals board is appointed by the Kimball Board
of Mayor and Aldermen and consists of a total of five
(5) members which are citizens within the town. The
board consists of the follow members:
Chairman - Martha Holland
Secretary - Scott Hawkins
Member - Mike Cagle
Member - Rodger Ford
Member - Dean Pesnell
The zoning board only meets when
necessary. The board reviews zoning appeals by those
within the town that do not comply with the current
regulations. And they address any changes made to the
zoning map.

Parks & Recreation Board
The park and recreation board
is appointed by the Kimball Board of Mayor and Aldermen
and consists of six (6) members which are citizens within
the town and one (1) member of the Board of Mayor and
Aldermen. The board consists of the follow members:

Fireworks Festival
The Town of Kimball will not be
having the Kimball Fireworks Festival this year (2008).
The Board of Mayor and Aldermen voted during a regular
monthly board meeting to use the funds for the festival
toward the progress on the Kimball Park to work on adding
some amenities that were discussed during the Strategic
Workshop held on February 21, 2008.
The fireworks festival committee
is selected by the Kimball Board of Mayor and Aldermen
and consists of a variety of members with all five (5)
members of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen being on
the committee. The board consists of the follow members:

The fireworks festival committee
begins their meetings in February and meets at least
once a month until October. The committee plans the
events for the festival, vendors, entertainment, and
makes recommendations to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen
for approval on all expenses.

Beautification Committee
This committee has been working
to see where the town can improve the landscaping of
our wonderful town. The first phase will take place
at the Town of Kimball sign at Glovers Hill. This
committee has been working with Brenda King, with Wal-Mart
Supercenter. Wal-Mart has incorporated a PSP Program
that promotes giving back to the community. Keep your
eyes appealed for the work by the Committee.
